I remember sitting on the floor in front of the TV, criss-cross-applesauce. So excited for the first episode of this new series… about a normal, everyday girl.
Simpler times.
Saturday Jan 1 @ 12:32amI love Demi for this rant she’s on right now. Seriously.
When someone who was once ON the Disney Channel only a few months ago feels this way, too?! …Disney better get the message. The shows today are not the same. Raven & Lizzie were portraying NORMAL girls. And by normal I mean: realistic weight, realistic parents, realistic stories, & had realistic issues to deal with. Those issues were usually centered around school, self esteem/confidence, friends, boys and regular everyday things. And, almost every episode taught the audience something positive, and was a story we could relate to.
I’m not saying skinny isn’t normal. I’m skinny. I’m saying that “skinny” shouldn’t be the only body type that’s shown. That’s not normal or realistic.
There was even that episode of Lizzie where Miranda had a mild eating disorder for a little while, but her friends helped her realize that she was hurting herself. They were there for her, & helped her though it. In the end she realized that she’s beautiful the way she is. And, now… the same channel that produced that episode is cracking jokes about eating disorders?!
I don’t even know what Disney thinks they’re teaching now. I think they lost the desire to make shows with morals & life lessons. I hope they realize that they have the power to help raise the next generation of kids…
lol miranda in the fourth gif is like “ooh, busted! you like each other.”
I love them. But, haha. Third wheel. I would always get mad when they’d be having a moment & then have to include Miranda like… “Oh! You, too.”

Bring back 90s/Early 2000s Disney Channel!

Nickelodeon brought back the 90s because of popular demand! Why can’t the same happen with Disney? In addition to all the new shows, Disney should continue to air all of the old shows and movies like the ones above! What happened to Disney shows having a message in every episode? Or when Disney’s shows & Original Movies dealt with real life situations that kids can relate to? Kids these days should get to see how Disney used to be. And of course, all us 90s babies would love to see all our old shows & movies back on the DC! Contact the head & CEO of Disney if you feel the same way!

We definitely have the power to bring all of this back!
LET’S DO THIS!
“A bra-weeeeee want a bra! I want a BRA!”
The good old Disney days when real girl issues were discussed…
Gotta love that awkward moment when your shirt is the same exact color as the backdrop..
My favorite TV/Movie trios. <3 :)
Lizzie & Gordo // Just spent the last 30 minutes making this. :) Haha. Yeah, I obsess over things. But, I’d actually really love to make music videos or short films one day. So, making things like this is an outlet.
Color = Present time / Black & White = Memories.
I’m gonna rant here for a minute, okay? Okay.
Just finished watching all 65 episodes and the movie & can I just say… I really adore the Lizzie/Gordo storyline. It’s too sweet. I just said to mom, can you imagine how much of a better place the world would be if more guys were like Gordo? Seriously, think about that for a minute.
He’s one of my favorite fictional characters. From day one, he always knew who he was. He never changed for anyone. (Unlike everyone around him.) He accepted Lizzie for exactly who she was, and was there for her their entire lives. He would literally do anything for her. Too shy to tell her how he felt, he tried to help her get Ethan Kraft to like her, because he wanted her to be happy. & While they were in Rome, he covered for her every single time she snuck out to be with Paolo, even though they promised each other they’d find adventure there together. He sacrificed being lonely and depressed the whole trip, (even almost being sent home!) so that Lizzie could have the time of her life. That’s pretty selfless. He was always there to support her with anything & everything she wanted to do (someone truly supportive & loyal is hard to find.) He was there for her to talk to, vent to, and even when she had “girl problems,” he still tried his best to understand and help. Now, that’s love.
I think it’s safe to say, that every girl wants a Gordo. <3
