I really am so happy that the Jonas Brothers have parted ways with Disney/Hollywood. (Ugh, I love the sound of that.) I really hope that the people who have doubted them for the last 6 years will finally realize that they’re a legitimate band, & should be taken seriously. Hopefully, they’ll be given the respect that they deserve as they enter this new chapter in their career.

It’s a shame that their name had to be tarnished so badly under the umbrella of the Disney franchise. Especially since Disney broke a lot of rules with them, and let them write their own music. (But, of course… people didn’t believe that.) Who could blame them for signing with them, though? They were young, & it was a great fit at the time. And, it obviously helped them (& hurt them) tremendously. Years of people not being able to see past that label. Years of people being “embarrassed” to say that they’re a fan of them. But, now… it’s like they’re set back to zero. A fresh start. I’m so excited for this year, & of course.. the many, many years to follow. This is only the beginning.
