Thanks! haha, I actually saw them on tour with Panic! in May. :) But, I wasn’t very familiar with their music.

I think my biggest problem though, is that I’m always really late to get into what’s new/hot. Whenever there’s a new/big hit, it always takes me forever to actually like it/know of it. haha. I’m trying to be more alert, though! :P

I haven’t covered a Jonas Brothers song (not including side-projects) for about 2 1/2 years.

I’ve been covering lots of other stuff lately. Because, I have been trying to distance myself from them a little or “branch out” as you have put it. But, with their impending comeback, I thought it would be a nice time to kind of do a medley for them since I haven’t covered their stuff in a long while. And, because I’ve done medleys for a few other bands so far.

When I started out on YouTube I was about 14… the Jonas Brothers were really popular then. (And, I was/am obviously a fan of their music.) So, naturally.. I covered a lot of their songs in my room for fun. And, those videos used to get a lot of views because there weren’t as many artists on YouTube then. Therefore, a large chunk of my “fan base” is Jonas fans. And, that’s totally cool. JB fans are awesome!

But, I have been trying to cover more Top 40 kind of songs/or just whatever songs I’m into at the moment in an attempt to grow my audience a bit. Because, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t really matter what covers I post. None of them really get the amount of views that other YouTubers get these days. I think my most popular one right now is Call Me Maybe, though.

Hey! I shoot with a Canon Rebel XS. (a.k.a 1000D)

I know what you mean. When I first started I was a little frustrated that my photos didn’t look as good as other peoples & stuff. But, once I really started to get into photography, I discovered that portraits are what I enjoy shooting the most. Lenses, not so much the actual camera.. are what really open a whole new world as far as what you want for results/quality. (Depth of field, bokeh, sharpness/smoothness, etc..)

I asked for a 50mm 1.8 for Christmas… which is a great prime lens for the price (About $90) & is ideal for portraits. Soon after, I bought an 85mm 1.8 with my graduation money. (Again, another ideal portrait lens.) And, then I just made sure I shot a LOT. I still have so far to go, though. So, I’d say figure out what aspect of photography you enjoy the most, look up with gear is best for that, & go from there. You should hopefully see an improvement with some new lenses & practice. :)

So, yes. I have decided that I’m just gonna get the darn thing! I’ve always thought about getting a tattoo… but, I’ve been so worried about stuff like: Ahh, it’s gonna be on my body forever! What if I end up hating it?! And, of course: What will it look like when I’m an old lady?! And, all that jazz. But, then when I really broke it down… I’m going to be dead & rapidly decaying 6 feet underground sooner or later, & what’s written on my skin is not going to matter. I’m alive. Some ink on my skin isn’t going to change anything.

I’m a think-things-though kinda person. And, I only want one tattoo. Nothing is going to change that. So, obviously… I want it to be really meaningful. I want something that has personal, strong meaning to me.. and is something that I’ve loved for a long time. After months of brainstorming different ideas, I’ve decided that I want something Titanic related. Both the 1997 movie & the historical event (of course), is something that has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. The movie, specifically.. is probably the first thing that I remember really, truly loving. I was about 4 or 5 when I first saw it, & it really resonated with me. I literally would take various books I owned about Titanic to pre-school with me. To this day, it’s the only film that makes me cry, think, and experience so many emotions every time I see it. To me… the movie represents a piece of my childhood, & so much more.

So, once I decided that I want it to be Titanic related… I had to decide on what I want. Again, I really thought it through… and, I’ve simply decided on: Make it count.

As a film/art lover, I cannot stress how brilliant I think the character Jack Dawson is & how important he is to the movie. Although he & Rose are fictional… To me, Jack represents the 1,500 people who lost their lives that night. He’s the one that we grew to love by the end of the 3 hour film. And, his death makes us realize how tragic this event was. How Rose was changed forever, just from knowing him a few days. How everyday, peoples hopes and dreams are cut short because of something that is inevitable. Something they can’t control & is so extremely final: death.

The quote that my tattoo comes from is as follows:

I mean, I love waking up in the morning not knowing what’s gonna happen or, who I’m gonna meet, where I’m gonna wind up. I’ve decided that I want to get Make it count in cursive on my inner, left bicep. Such a simple phrase covers so much for me. It will be a constant reminder of not letting a minute go to waste. (Because, I’m currently terrible at wasting time. And, getting this on my body forever will motivate me to live up to that saying.) I want to be able to look at my tattoo when I’m old, think back on my life & be happy with everything that I’ve done. To know that I made the most of every moment I’ve spent here.
